At almost one-tenth of the cost, over sixty thousand players are currently lined up at the $1,000,000 guaranteed MicroMillions II Main Event as of press time the $1.2 million prize pool will award two lucky players with over $100K! Looking at the two big Sunday Majors, the $215 buy-in Sunday Warm-Up has a prize pool of $563,000.00 and and Sunday Million showing a $1.1 million purse. This is the final day of the second addition of this tournament series which showed again that small buy-ins do not equate small prize pools. Take today’s warm-up to the Main Event, a $2.20 buy-in Event #93 NLHE tournament guaranteeing $15,000.00. 14,889 players show up and that guaranteed pot is nearly doubled to $29,778 with $3,731.47 set aside for the winner.

Team Online’s Andre “acoimbra” Coimbra would not get to add to his 17 cashes in 80 tournaments in this one, as the Portuguese pro finished in 6,679th place but may gain some sanity back tomorrow after getting only 47 hours of sleep over the duration of this series. We are sure his girlfriend will appreciate this as well.

A bit over eight hours of play and two tables left to contend for the Event #93 title as the players hung on to an average of 20 big blinds. CSKA2010 (Russia), Calm & Happy (United Kingdom), and powderslide (Greece) would collect their paychecks earlier than expected coming in 16th through 18th place earning $62.53 a piece.

The next trio of HoldenUte03 (Australia), ElectroValer (Ukraine), krzymen (Poland) all earned a small bump on the pay scale taking home $89.33 in places 13th through 15th. VIP Supernova KingPaulie used this time to go from being all-in with just a few million and blinds at 150K/300K ante 30K to over ten million chips and close to the chip lead.

After p_poker92 (Netherlands) took off in 12th place ($119.11), ENERO10 would face a min-raise from the chip leader zeksistar opening from the small blind. Holding pocket tens 10♥ 10â™  in the big blind the Columbian made the shove for 1.9 million as zeksistar had plenty of chips to speculate with A♥ 2♣ . Perhaps clairvoyant, ENERO10 would type “noooooo” in the chat box before the flop laid out the tournament ending ace K♥ 5♦ A♣ 9♦ Q♣ earning ENERO10 $191.11 in 11th place.

zekisistar used the chip leading muscle four of the five hands during hand-for-hand play include one that would send the bubble boy to the rail. With the blinds still at 150K/300K ante 30K khogar would min-raise from the button of the five-handed table as zeksistar called out of the small blind and AnBe63 three-bet to 2.1 million from the big blind. khogar found something better to watch on YouTube and folded as zeksistar called. J♠ 4♠ 8♥ flop and zekisistar bet 1.2 million which was enough to put AnBe63 all-in. Holding 9♣ K♠ for king-high AnBe63 made the call to see zeksistar caught a pair of fours Q♠ 4♦ . Both players blanked the turn A♦ and river J♣ as zeksistar collected another 6.9 million chips to start up the final table below:

Seat 1: KingPaulie (11535972 in chips)
Seat 2: SYNPOKER1 (4317602 in chips)
Seat 3: khogar (4574280 in chips)
Seat 4: lapochka136 (8015150 in chips)
Seat 5: ronald3737 (7792776 in chips)
Seat 6: zeksistar (18239992 in chips)
Seat 7: Paulsisa (8639895 in chips)
Seat 8: CUTIE QUEEN (6337756 in chips)
Seat 9: prot0 (4991577 in chips)

Starting off with 150K/300K ante 30K blinds but going up to 200K/400K ante 40K after five hands would make things tight for prot0, khogar, and SYNPOKER1 holding the shortstacks. With a 2012 SCOOP final table and taking home $117K at the Sunday Million KingPaulie had the most big time final table experience. But, New Zealand’s prot0 nearly claimed some WCOOP wrist bling in Event #21 last year, taking home second place cash worth $145K.

Reversal of fortune

After coming to the final table with the chip lead, zeksistar was likely looking for win or at least a four-digit cash. However after the massive 33 million chip three-way pot below, things did not go the Slovenian’s way.

zeksistar: 4♣ A♥
KingPaulie: Q♦ A♣
ronald3737: 2♥ 2♦

After a preflop raise to 900K by KingPaulie was called by both ronald3737 on the button and zeksistar in the small blind all three saw the 2♣ A♦ 5â™  flop. zeksistar took the aggressor seat and led out for 3.6 million as KingPaulie made the call. ronald3737 would need to call-in, hold a little less than the full bet amount at 3.59 million. J♦ on the turn got KingPaulie to check-raise all-in for 10.1 million after zekisistar’s 8.8 million chip bet. zeksistar made the call holding aces plus a gutshot draw as KingPaulie led with the queen kicker. 6â™  river and ronald3737 took the main pot for 14.3 million, KingPaulie got the bigger side pot for 18.7 million, and zeksistar received a disappointing $178.66 in ninth place.

King for a hand

Four hands later as the blinds jumped up to 250K/500K ant e50K KingPaulie would apply pressure to the blinds with an open shove covering both SYNPOKER1 and khogar. SYNPOKER1 passed, but khogar holding 4.8 million behind and pocket sevens 7â™  7♥ made the call. A suited king 5♦ K♦ needed neither the diamonds nor the king as two fives hit the 5♣ 10♥ 5â™  10♣ 2â™  board to end khogar’s tourney in eighth place ($268.00).

A pond of calm shows a ripple

The remainder of the blind level went through without incident, and it looked like the 300K/600K ante 60K level would pass cleanly too until ronald3737 put out a min-raise from UTG as lapochka136 made the call in the big blind. 6â™  A♣ 4♣ flop saw lapochka136 check-call a 1.2 million chip bet. Same thing on the Q♣ turn as lapochka136 check-called a 2.4 million chip bet. 8♣ on the river and lapochka136 took the initiative and bet three million putting ronald3737 all-in. Holding a flopped pair of aces A♦ 9♦ ronald3737 made the call to see the pocket kings K♣ K♥ of lapochka136 made an unlikely runner-runner flush . Seventh place and $521.11 was shipped ronald3737’s way as lapochka136 took over the chip lead.

lapochka136 pokes ya

Seven hands later lapochka136 would gain another huge pot, further widening the Russian’s lead on the table. Watch below to find out who the victim was:

KingPaulie swung for the fences with an open shove from the cutoff for 9.7 million as lapochka136 found pocket tens in the small blind 10♣ 10♦ and re-shoved, forcing Paulsisa to fold an ace in the big blind. KingPaulie’s 3♣ K♣ would whiff on the 8♥ 2♥ 4â™  8♦ 6â™  board, finishing the day in sixth place ($804.00) as lapochka136 collected the 20.8 million pot.

Syn is sunk

As the blinds moved up to 500K/1MM ante 100K lapochka136’s stack moved over 40 million chips as it seemed like everyone else was playing for second. prot0 opened with a shove to 7.7 million in the hijack seat as SYNPOKER1 holding 5.5 million chips and A♦ Jâ™  made the call. prot0’s 8♦ A♥ was dominated, at least until the fourth heart hit the river 4♥ 9♥ 5♥ A♣ K♥ giving prot0 the nut flush and 13.2 million chips as SYNPOKER1’s bad beat was worth $1,101.78 in fifth place.

Funneling all the chips to lapochka136

Holding 48.5 million chips lapochka136 would make short work of the remainder of the final table. With the blinds holding at 500K/1MM ante 100K lapochka136 would finish the final table by winning 11 of 12 hands.

Paulsisa was the first victim calling the bully’s small blind shove with just 3.02 million remaining in the big blind. 7♦ A♣ for Paulsisa needed some luck against lapochka136’s Aâ™  8â™  . Both players failed to hit a pair, but the higher kicker was not needed as lapochka136 notched a runner-runner flush 5â™  9♥ 4♣ 10â™  Jâ™  for overkill ending the tournament in fourth place ($1,399.56).

Four hands later CUTIE QUEEN tried chip away at the chip leader’s castle. Shoving all-in for 5.4 million from the button with K♥ Jâ™  was a good way to do so. However, lapochka136 found a small ace Aâ™  5♥ in the big blind and made the call. The board cleared the ace 7♥ 7♦ Q♥ 3♦ 2♣ to collect another 11.6 million chips from the middle as CUTIE QUEEN was thrown from the throne in third place ($1,995.12). She may be a cutie, but watch out for this lady on the tables, as CUTIE QUEEN made the top ten of her division in the Women’s Poker League in June.

Down 8.7 million to 65.6 million, prot0 needed to find a double up in a hurry. After folding from the button on the first hand and folding to a raise on the second hand, prot0 found enough courage to shove the next hand. J♥ 7♣ was just enough for the Kiwi to go with as lapochka136 called holding one pip higher 4♦ Q♦ . The pip was all it would take for the Russian to claim Event #93 as the 5â™  5♥ 10♦ K♣ 2♣ board failed to connect on prot0’s live cards as lapochka136 collected the $3,731.47 first place prize!
