Two bullets, that is what you have. Do you take both shots at once, or do you hold on to one just in case you need it? That is what the players had to decide when registering for Event No. 83.

Wether satriales3 fired both shots to start the tourney or not by the time things ended every chip was in his stack as he defeated one of his fellow country men in brisk heads-up battle.

*****************************************

The 83rd event of the MicroMillions II schedule featured a $4.40 buy-in in a one re-buy, one add-on format. A grand total of 9,772 players came together, added, 6,940 re-buys and 2,984 add-ons to generate a prize pool of $78,784. With 1,260 players guaranteed $14.18 they were all aiming for the $11,595.08 set to go to the winner.

It didn’t take long for the lone red spade to get eliminated from the tournament as André “acoimbra” Coimbra was eliminated during the late registration period. Coimbra is closing in on accomplishing his goal of competing in all 100 events of the MicroMillions II schedule. You can read all about his journey in his daily dairy.

By the time 9,763 players were eliminated andupkr led the way with TinoLaan following close behind. Here is how the final nine looked at the start of the final table:

Seat 1: raserAA (4,420,212 in chips)
Seat 2: Lionel466 (12,067,041 in chips)
Seat 3: _ultgambler_ (14,013,141 in chips)
Seat 4: satriales3 (14,069,170 in chips)
Seat 5: andupkr (24,494,972 in chips)
Seat 6: botas330 (1,909,728 in chips)
Seat 7: pappszultan (3,461,516 in chips)

First two out:

botas330 managed to chip up a little after having a couple shoves get no calls but eventually satriales3 called one of those all-in shoves. botas330 was ahead with Aâ™  J♥ over satrailes3’s Qâ™  3♣ . satriales3 flopped a pair on the 10â™  8♥ 3â™  flop to take the lead and the Q♣ turn closed things out giving satriales3 two pair. The 6♥ came on the river to end the hand sending botas330 out in ninth place collecting $610.57

The next elimination came after raserAA moved all-in from late position and was called by andupkr. andupkr’s 8♥ 8♦ held against racerAA’s A♦ K♦ on the Q♣ 6♣ 2â™  Q♥ 5♥ board. racerAA collects $866.62 for eighth place.

Another one down:

Lionel466 had less than one big blind remaining after paying the ante and big blind to start the hand. Lionel466 called all-in facing a min-bet from satriales3. The players cards were revealed with satriales3 holding Kâ™  10â™  against Lionel466’s A♦ 5â™  . The Q♥ 9â™  3â™  flop gave satriales3 some more outs with a flush draw. The 2â™  was just what striales3 needed for the flush eliminating Lionel466 in seventh place collecting $1,575.68.

Eliminate one then get eliminated:

Everyone folded to pappszultan in the big blind after konbang 69 moved all-in from under the gun. pappszultan called and showed A♦ K♦ to go against konbang 69’s Q♣ Jâ™  . The 10♥ 5♣ 4♣ 7♣ 8♦ board brought no assistance to konbang 69 who collects $2,363.52.

A few hands later pappszultan was all-in with A♣ J♣ against _ultgambler_’s A♦ 8♥ . It looked like pappszultan was going to get a double up after the Qâ™  7♦ 3♥ flop but the 8â™  on the turn gave _ultgambler_ a pair while the 2♣ river finished things off. pappszultan collects $3,151.36 for fifth place.

Out-Flopped:

In a blind versus blind battle andupkr moved all-in with the big stack from the small blind. Tinolaan called from the small blind going all-in with A♦ 10♣ against andupkr’s Q♣ J♥ . The A♣ K♣ 10â™  flop was all that andpukr needed to take control of the hand eliminating Tinolaan in fourth place with a straight.

Down to two:

Three-handed play was dominated by raises and folds with very little flops being seen. Eventually it was _ultgambler_ getting crippling andupkr when andupkr’s J♥ 10♣ couldn’t catch against _ultgambler_’s 9â™  9♥ . The next hand andpukr put the rest of his chips into the middle and the other two players combined forces to try and take him down. They checked it all the way down on the K♥ K♦ Qâ™  8â™  J♥ board. satriales3 showed 10♥ 10♣ to take the pot and eliminate andupkr in third place collecting $5,908.50.

Heads-Up:

The remaining two players quickly agreed to an even chop leaving $1,000 to play for a few hands into heads-up play.

With the deal made the players set forth to determine who would collect the extra $1,000. satrailes3 held the lead and never looked back. The final hand started with satrailes3 raising to 4 million. _ultgambler_ called and the pair check on the Q♠ 9♠ 8♠ flop. The 9♣ turn brought an open from _ultgambler_ to 4 million. satrailes3 raised to 8 million and _ultgambler_ moved all-in. satrailes3 called and showed K♠ 3♠ for the flopped flush while _ultgambler_ held Q♦ 10♣ for a pair. The 5♣ river was unneeded ending the tourney with _ultgambler_ collecting $9,532.18 for second while satrailes3 takes $10,532.18 for the win.
