Players can now ask professional Raise Your Edge coaches strategy questions on PokerStars Discord

PokerStars Discord is a selection of chat rooms where you can talk to players, ambassadors and even PokerStars staff.

There’s a brand new feature on the PokerStars Learn chat rooms, and it’s sure to help you become a more effective poker player.

How to join Discord

It takes just a few simple steps to sign up to PokerStars Discord. First, click on the invite link below:


You’ll then be prompted to create your Discord username and verify your account. Once signed in, you’ll be on the PokerStars #welcome page.

You can spend hours browsing, exploring and contributing to poker communities on Discord. From the #welcome page, for example, you’ll find links to Twitch channels and Discord servers of your favorite streamers like Lex, Fintan and Spraggy.

For now, we’re going to focus on the new #pokerstars-learn feature.

Ask professional coaches questions on #pokerstars-learn

Select #pokerstars-learn from the menu

Here’s how to ask questions on #pokerstars-learn Discord chat rooms.

On the left hand side you’ll see PokerStars Discord chat rooms. Select the #pokerstars-learn channel, then select your language.

Scroll down until you see the Learn channels and select a relevant room to ask your question.

As well as asking questions to the general PokerStars Discord community, the new feature allows you to ask professional Raise Your Edge poker coaches questions directly.

Ask your question, and simply tag a Raise Your Edge coach using “@”.

You can find the Discord names for Raise Your Edge coaches below:

What type of questions can you ask?

PokerStars Discord is for players of all levels. Your questions can be general or very specific. They can be about concepts, hands, or anything else related to poker strategy. No question is too big or small for our Raise Your Edge coaches.

Here are some example questions:

  1. What does Big Blind mean?
  2. How do you calculate pot odds?
  3. Can someone explain how position moves around the table?
  4. Where can I get a list of strong hand and weak hands?
  5. Why did I lose with this hand?
  6. How do I share hand histories?
  7. What’s an effective bankroll management strategy?
  8. What happens if I win a satellite?
  9. Any advice for this hand?
  10. What would you do if the board is JJJJ and you have an Ace?

This is a fantastic opportunity to get high quality answers and advice from professional coaches who really know the game – and who know how to help you become a better player.
