They say that a picture paints a thousand words. If that were always true, us writers would soon be out of business. That said, despite being fierce defenders of our craft of putting a load of words together and hoping they make sense, we will tip our hat to the work of those men and women behind a lens who can bring the digital world to life. We are fortunate to have some of the best in the business working alongside us on PokerStars Blog; the tournament photos from Neil Stoddart and Joe Giron are exemplary, for example.
Now, as part of the PokerStars 10th Anniversary celebrations, we’re throwing the gauntlet down to you for your chance to get creative and grab some rather nice freebies. You see, our friends in the PokerStars social media department have come up with a novel promotion, Picture Perfect.
Here’s the deal: they have 10,000–yes, 10,000–entries to the PokerStars World Record Tournament to give away, allowing you a free shot at not only being part of poker history, but also of winning a guaranteed $50,000. Now that paints a nice picture, right?
All you have to do is upload a photo to the ‘PokerStars10′ group on Flickr, and make sure the photo follows the theme of ’10’. To grab one of the entries for the World Record Tournament, which runs on December 4 and aims to beat PokerStars’ existing record of 149,196 players, make sure you do the following:
– Join the ‘PokerStars 10’ Group on Flickr
– Upload a photo to your Flickr account
– Give your photo the title of ‘PokerStars Picture Perfect {Enter your PokerStars ID}’ & tag it with ‘PokerStars’
– Go to the page of the photo you want to submit to the competition.
– Click the ‘Actions’ tab above the photo.
– Select ‘Add to Group’.
– Choose the ‘PokerStars 10’ Group and you’re all done.
So it’s as easy as that; get working on a ’10’-themed photo, upload it using the instructions above and receive your a free PokerStars World Record Tournament entry!
