As the clock struck 8pm here in Rozvadov, the final table bubble burst for the PokerStars Festival High Roller. Now eight players remain from the 118 that started. The eventual winner will be rewarded with a tidy €47,929 for their efforts, as well as a rather swanky looking trophy.
The final table bubble burst following two eliminations in the same hand. Boris Kuzmanovic came out the victor of the three-way all in after flatting a shove from Dorin Rauta (holding A♦ 6â™ ) for his last three big blinds. Rauta’s flat prompted a re-shove from David Urban (holding A♥ J♥ ) for an additional six big-blinds. Priced in to call, Kuzmanovic reluctantly called with 2♦ 2♣ . The board ran 5â™ 3♣ 2♥ 9♥ 10♦ and Kuzmanovic’s set sent both opponents to the rail.
The clock has now resumed as we enter Level 23 with blinds at 15,000/30,000 with a 4,000 ante. Here’s the seat draw and the chip-counts as they stand:
Position | Name | Chips |
---|---|---|
1 | Robert Zipf | 208,000 |
2 | Pietro Errante Parrino | 255,000 |
3 | Aviv Meiri | 335,000 |
4 | Anestis Anagnostidis | 256,000 |
5 | Zoltan Ban | 176,000 |
6 | Sebastian Malec | 793,000 |
7 | Michael Uguccioni | 467,000 |
8 | Boris Kuzmanovic | 1,055,000 |
Players worth keeping an eye on include Robert Zipf in seat one – the German has had just shy of $250,000 in live tournament earnings. It’s also worth watching the huge chip-leader Boris Kuzmanovic. The Croatian’s biggest live-cash came from a second place finish in the Main Event of the Eureka3 stop on his home turf, where he pocketed €48,200.
And, of course, EPT13 Barcelona Main Event winner Sebastian Malec is still among the remaining players. He’ll be hoping to add another trophy to his cabinet following his €1.12 million win last summer. Unlike his legendary final table appearance in Barcelona however, there’s no rum and coke in sight for the Pole this time round.
Who will come out on top? Stay tuned for all the remaining action.
