A year ago this week PokerStars made its first tentative steps back into the United States. It was in March 2016 that, after several dark years, we opened the doors onto a bright new future, all of which started in New Jersey.

It was an industry wide foothold, with a long journey ahead for online poker – one that PokerStars is committed to taking. But we’re proud to celebrate what has been a memorable first year, and mark the anniversary of that moment when playing cards online, in the comfort of your own home, became normal again.

That year has featured several landmarks as well as some great promotions that brought poker back to US soil with aplomb.

For instance:

– The largest tournament series New Jersey had ever seen with the New Jersey Championship of Online Poker (NJCOOP)
– PokerStars sponsored live events (and “onlive” events) in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
– Numerous online Festivals and Series.
– Winning moments such as when ‘VaderWolf’ hit the $100,000 Spin and Go Jackpot in January.

Now, to celebrate this one year landmark, we’re looking to the future with a range of innovative promotions to suit all players over the course of the next month on PokerStarsNJ.com.

For new players, there is a $50 in free play offer. Meanwhile, existing players who deposit during this period could enjoy an instant windfall of up to $10,000 with the Mega Cash Bonus.

There are also enhanced poker prize pools galore, including the $100,000 guaranteed Big Sunday on April 2, and pedal-to-the metal tournaments such as The NJ City Series that delivers a choice of poker games to play, culminating on March 26 in an online Atlantic City no-limit hold’em Main Event, with a $50,000 guarantee.

The popularity of events is what has helped PokerStarsNJ.com lead the way in New Jersey since its return, guaranteeing more and awarding more in scheduled tournaments than any other NJ online poker site. We plan on continuing in the same tradition and hope you’ll join us along the way.
