PokerStars weekend review (11-26-12)

November 26, 2012

It’s been another busy weekend at PokerStars; the MicroMillions III wrapping up with a guarantee-busting $1,221,440 main event, Team PokerStars Pro Marcin Horecki swiping a second MicroMillions leader board title*, Road to 100 Billion Milestones popping to pay players all over the place, and all the usual Sunday majors, of course.

*The back-office boffins are just confirming the numbers now.

Another one in the bag for Horecki?

The action

  • We’ve been speeding past The Road to 100 Billion Milestones once again with a 90 Billion Mega Milestone coming up (which started hitting on Friday). The biggest winner so far has been KingOfThe$ea who got it in three-ways with A♦A♥3♥3♣ in a $1/$2 PLO game. Not only did KingOfThe$ea win the $1,159.34 pot but they also claimed a Milestone-tastic $4,918 bonus. Winning that pot was worth more than 3,000 big blinds! Check out all the winners so far here.

  • Geoff Smith won a turbo-charged final table to take the ANZPT Auckland title, which you can read about here.

  • There was a five-way deal in the Sunday Million that saw four players bank more than $100,000 each. Read the full Sunday Million report here and you can see all the big results from the weekend here.

  • Fellow Team Pro Bryan Huang has been looking at life beyond Macau, while Eugene Katchalov talks about pounding the trail (real ones, not the poker circuit).

  • Another liveried player, Ana Marquez, took third in the Women’s Sunday but was beaten by RuPrettygirl.

  • And in case you missed our snippet of Poker Strategy on Friday you can take a look at Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier and Galen Hall looking horns at the Champion of Champions event here.
