Weekend highlights

x_zola25 makes five significant cashes: The main story this week is the performance and run-good power of “x_zola25”. The Danish player has a stunning track record in the world of online MTTs, amassing over $6.4 million in winnings. This weekend, they made five significant cashes in High Roller Club and Bounty Builder Series wins. x_zola25 came third in the BBS177: $530 Bounty Builder HR for $13,732 and second in the BBS184: $55 Flash Hyper for $5,044. In the High Roller Club, x_zola25 came second in the $530 BBHR late edition for $2,760, fifth place in the $5k Titans event for $29,731, and locked up a first place finish in the Sunday HR for $20,513 – all making for a grand total of over $71k in cashes this weekend.

Christoph Vogelsang won this weekend’s $5k Titans

Christoph Vogelsang wins $5k Titans: It wasn’t without stiff competition that UK-based pro Christoph “26071985” Vogelsang made it to the top spot in the Titans this weekend, even once the field had been cleared to the final few players. Talal “raidalot” Shakerchi of the UK dropped in third for $52k, leaving Vogelsang heads-up with long term Canadian cash and tourney grinder “takechip”. Despite tough opposition, Vogelsand claimed victory, leaving takechip with the (still massive) consolation prize of $70k and walking away with $94,468 for first.

Multiple winners from Mongolia: We’re nearly always talking about the success of players from certain countries (we’re looking at you, Brazil!), so it’s always a pleasure to see players from more unusual territories taking the top spots in tournaments. “$ubuta1” has been almost single-handedly putting Mongolia on the poker map in recent years. They were the first to earn a SCOOP title for the country, the first to earn a Blowout Series title, and now $ubuta1 has bagged a Bounty Builder Series title for themselves and their community. $ubuta1 took down BBS174: $215 NLHE for a total of X. Elsewhere, fellow Mongolian player “Mj091155” won a BBS Side Event, and “Mongolica” came third in the BBS 181 for a total of $17,049.

Bounty Builder Series final weekend: The Bounty Builder Series ran its final weekend of events, offering some of the juiciest prize pools of the series. “sannnya” of Ukraine won the BBS175: $22 Deepstack on Saturday for a total of 17,536, “BLEFE GOD” of Brazil took down the BBS186: $109 NLHE on Sunday for a total of $30,781, and “peceli” of Uruguay earned a huge score in the BBS188: $215 NLHE, a total of $54,233 for first. And this year’s PLO Main Event champion is “Meira97”, who earned a total of $15,364 for their PKO Omaha proficiency. In doing so, Meira97 became one of only a few double champions in the series (they won the BBS39: Sunday Supersonic SE earlier on for $12,714).

Main Events on break – Bounty Builder Series NLHE Main Events are currently on break, and will play to their conclusions on Day 2. The Main Event-Low attracted 22,314 entries for a prize pool of $1,115,700. “Boyden123” of Canada is the current chip leader with 279 players remaining. The Main Event-High attracted 3,660 entries, which meant a slight overlay and a $2 million prize pool. “Gerson‘GR’” of Brazil is currently chip leader with 103 players remaining. Third place “Luciano S.H” of Brazil has already made over $7k in bounties.

We’ll bring you the full Bounty Builder Series Wrap-Up once the Main Events have concluded, so keep your eyes peeled for the full series results and highlights.
