Stadium Series Afterparty

The Stadium Series proper has now finished, and the series gave away over $55 million in prizes to players at all bankroll levels.

shot at five, or even six figure scores.

$1.10 Low – The top three players made a deal which ensured they each walked away with over $7k. “Hagautama” from Ukraine came first for $7,476.

$11 Medium – “Sntri” from Finland and “ronaldobraj” from Brazil, both of whom have had four figure wins in the past, made a heads-up deal. Sntri prevailed, earning $31,427 for first.

$109 High – This phased event had a $500k prize pool with huge scores up for grabs. “Fisherman9695” from the UK came second for $71,578. “IsultanchickI” took the top spot for $100,002.

$1,050 High Roller – Phase 1 tourneys are still running for this event, with Phase 2 commencing on August 16.

Huge HRC wins for CrazyLissy and C. Darwin2

The High Roller Club always brings the top talent to the tables. This weekend, Simon “C. Darwin2” Mattsson and “CrazyLissy” were among those to pick up huge scores.

Simon “C Darwin2” Mattsson picked up a big score in the HRC this weekend

Top ranked WCOOP and SCOOP champion Simon “C. Darwin2” Mattsson earned his keep in the $1,050 Sunday Warm-up. He had to battle through a tough final table that included opposition like Sam “SamSquid” Grafton, Niklas “Lena900” Astedt and Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford to take first place. The Swedish pro bagged $16,779 for his performance.

“Kevin.Pu” from Canada is a player who is coming up in the ranks. They had a recent $32k score in the Stadium Series Heat 28-H, and this weekend pulled off first place in the $1,050 Sunday Supersonic, earning $23,061, their second biggest score.

Yet the biggest High Roller win by far this weekend, and an event that continues to stand out as one for big name players to add to their accolades, was the $5,200 Single Event. With a $500k prize pool and less than 100 players, the final table had huge prizes on offer. WSOP winner Fedor “CrownUpGuy” Holz came third for $71k, six time SCOOP champion Michael “SirWatts” Watson came second for $92k, and Russian pro “CrazyLissy” came first, adding $119,483 to their lifetime total.

The Sunday Million is currently on break with 100 players left. “Rosenberg777” from Brazil has a marginal chip lead, but there’s all left to play for as the tourney enters Day 2. Also in the Sunday majors this weekend:

  • 2020 SCOOP champion “Eleres88” from Brazil was back for another five figure score. They earned $21,202 for first place in the $215 Sunday Warm-up.

 

  • “yteruia”, also from Brazil, won the Mini Sunday Million, converting their $22 buy-in into $19,244.

 

  • “Greg59reg” from Russia earned a first place finish in the Sunday Storm, picking up $13,195 for first.

 

  • “Keep2p34Ch” won the Sunday Cooldown. The Moroccan player’s biggest ever win came in the Super Tuesday back in 2015, but since then they have claimed several big scores, including a Sunday Million and WCOOP final table. This time they earned $15,092, also picking up $10,828 in bounties along the way.

 

  • “SinkedShrimp” from Greece added another big win to their score card, which already includes a Sunday Million final table and 2018 Turbo Series win. They earned $20,125 in the Sunday Supersonic, all in just 2 hours 15 minutes.
