Sunday Million 14th Anniversary Day 1 review

The Sunday Million 14th Anniversary has been even bigger than we could have anticipated. During the break at the end of Day 1, there were over 87,000 total entries, with over 18,000 players left, with over 12,500 set to make the money and the top eight players all walking away with six figures. First place will win over $1.5 million, with second place taking over $1 million.

Day 2 play resumed with blinds at 1k/2k and average chip stacks standing at 97,653. “nowwor880” was leading the way with 680,117, and “X_QQ_AA_KK_fish” was the only other player with over 600,000 chips.

Plenty of pros were still in the mix. Christian “eisenhower1” Jeppsson was in 57th place, with 413,982 chips at the end of Day 1. Anatoly “NL_Profit” Filatov was in 108th place with 384,476 chips. Also in the top 1000 at the end of Day 1 were Pascal “Paffchen” Hartman, Joris “BillLewinsky” Ruijs and Juan “Malaka$tyle” Pardo.

Christian “eisenhower1” Jeppsson was doing well at the end of Day 1, eventually crashing out in 1587th place.

Anyone who plays poker knows that anything can happen. The results are almost impossible to predict and, with two full days still left to play, anything could and would still happen in the Sunday Million 14th Anniversary.

Sunday Million Anniversary Day 2 review

The Sunday Million Anniversary tournament is now on break at the end of Day 2. The prize pool is locked in at a whopping $18,603,200, making this by far the biggest ever online tournament on PokerStars.

A total of 60,898 players participated, with 32,118 re-entries bringing the total number up to 93,016 entries. There are now just 91 players left in the race for glory and for the life changing sums up top.

Interestingly, many of the pros we named at the end of Day 1 are now out of the tournament, as are the top two Day 1 chip leaders. “meandmyarrow” from Canada is currently leading the way, with 59.7 million chips at the end of Day 2. “Arlingtona” from Finland is in second place with 55 million chips. Three other players have over 40 million chips. The average stands at 20.4 million.

An epic result by anyone’s standard, AAAArthur’s previous highest win was $90. They satellited into the $215 event for just $11, meaning their total score earned them a return on their buy-in of 108,436%.
