HNESNESNE5 has been here before notching a fourth place finish in the Sunday Warm-Up for $46K back in November 2012 and looked to go further in this tournament after getting 973,716 chips all-in preflop versus guth888. Pocket aces A♥ A♣ versus guth888’s pocket tens 10♥ 10â™ felt comfortable to win the 2.2 million chip pot until the ten hit on the 3â™ 9♥ 2♣ K♦ 10♦ river sent HNESNESNE5 off in ninth place ($4,533.90).
Shortstacked no longer
As the blinds moved up to 80K/160K ante 16K ROSINEI has been nursing a shortened stack for the better part of the hour and found another spot to grab some chips after pushing 411,672 from the big blind over a min-raise by aliasbissen. aliasbissen would make the call holding 2♣ A♠as ROSINEI tried to match a couple of face cards 10♠Q♦ with the board. However, nothing over an eight appeared 4♦ 8♦ 8♣ 3♠6♥ sending ROSINEI home in eighth place ($7,211.56).
No break for you!
Just three hands before the end of the ninth hour of play with the blinds up to 100K/200K ante 20K guth888 and Chop_Chop96 decided they would play for a 5.7 million chip pot with the winner coming close to the chip lead. Knightsgeee would open for a min-raise from early position as guth888 wasted no time in shoving for 4.7 million on the immediate left. Chop_Chop96 joined in the parade by calling on the button for 2.4 million with big slick K♣ A♣ . guth888 rolled over pocket jacks J♥ J♠and promptly found a third hook on the flop 7♣ 3♥ J♦ 6♣ 4♦ to lop Chop_Chop96 from the table in seventh place ($12,534.90).
Dethroned
Up to 125K/250K ante 25K blind level KingGorn would shove for 1.3 million from the hijack seat as it folded around to mayanfactor holding 3.2 million and 7♥ A♠in the small blind. mayanfactor decided to over-shove as Knightsgeee in the big blind did not try to save the king and rode off. KingGorn was left to defend the castle with J♥ K♥ and could only manage an inside straight draw Q♣ A♥ 7♦ 5♠5♥ while taking away $17,868.90 in sixth place.
Bishop takes knight
Moving on to the 150K/300K ante 30K blind level Knightsgeee would shove all-in 1.46 million from the cutoff as aliasbissen re-raised to make sure crazyrabbi9 did not get any ideas to join in from the big blind. Knightsgeee’s suited ace A♦ 10♦ would try to slay aliasbissen’s pocket sixes 6♣ 6♦ . But, the lack of aces, tens, and diamonds in the treasure room 7♦ 7♥ J♥ Qâ™ 4♥ left Knightsgeee out in fifth place ($23,202.90).
Quickly on to heads-up play
Back-to-back knockouts would leave our final two inquiring quickly about chop numbers. First, still in the 150K/300K ante 30K blind level guth888 would min-raise from the cutoff as aliasbissen made the call from the button and crazyrabbi9 woke everyone up with push all-in for 1.16 million. mayanfactor folded the big blind as both guth888 and aliasbissen made the call. After the 3â™ K♦ 5â™ flop aliasbissen’s 2.1 million chip bet would get guth888 to bail as aliasbissen turned over top pair K♣ Jâ™ . That top pair would out-flop the J♦ A♥ held by crazyrabbi9 and with no aces on the 4♣ turn and 9♣ river crazyrabbi9 was out in fourth place ($30,670.50).
On the next hand mayanfactor would shove 2.4 million from the button which got guth888’s attention as the chip leader also shoved for 12.2 million. mayanfactor’s K♦ 10♣ would be looking up at the big slick K♥ A♥ held by guth888. And after the 2♣ K♣ 8â™ J♥ 3♦ board, mayanfactor would be looking up at guth888 in the standings after taking home $44,805.60 in third place.
Quick deal but slow finish
Our final two came down to terms leaving $8,000.00 aside for this week’s champ:

The joys of partnership were brief however as both players looked to become a Sunday Major champ tonight. Nearly a half hour into heads-up play after aliasbissen took a commanding lead with pocket jack versus guth888’s ace-jack for a 25 million chip pot, the former chip leader would concede the remainder three hands later.
With the blinds up to 200K/400K ante 40K and aliasbissen holding 24.3 million to guth888’s 2.2 million, aliasbissen would force guth888’s hand by shoving from the button. guth888’s 1.83 million after paying the blinds and antes made the call holding Jâ™ 4â™ . The search for spades was on against aliasbissen’s A♦ 5♣ . A lonely spade between aliasbissen’s two pair A♣ 7♥ 3♥ 8â™ 5♦ shipped the final pot and the additional $8,000.00 to aliasbissen as this week’s Sunday Warm-Up champion!
