Vicente “vicenfish” Delgado Zamorano is no stranger to success at the highest levels of PokerStars tournaments. Among his more than $4.8 million in career earnings here are wins in high-roller events at WCOOP 2014 and TCOOP 2017, worth more than $900,000 combined, and a victory this February in the Sunday Grand. Tonight he added a Super Tuesday title to that already impressive resume, breezing past the final table competition in less than two hours for the sixth-biggest cash of his PokerStars career.

vicenfish had an above-average chip total when the money bubble popped and managed to double up into the top 10 with four tables left. Wielding that stack, he came to the final table third in chips on the 10,000/20,000/2,000 level:

Seat 1: Rebel FishAK (455,148 in chips)
Seat 2: TanTanSWE (1,831,640 in chips)
Seat 3: Anil Kumar “BigBlufferAY” Yadav (781,848 in chips)
Seat 4: YRWTHMELTHR (283,687 in chips)
Seat 5: Graftekkel (530,120 in chips)
Seat 6: Vitalijs “zavor” Zavorotnijs (1,447,217 in chips)
Seat 7: Kory “s00tedj0kers” Kilpatrick (876,277 in chips)
Seat 8: Vicente “vicenfish” Delgado Zamorano (1,271,725 in chips)
Seat 9: Rodrigo “sonmonedas” Pérez (372,338 in chips)

YRWTHMELTHR finished last week’s Super Tuesday in second place and returned to the final table this week, albeit as the short stack with about 14 big blinds’ worth of chips. The first 20 minutes of the final table passed with the Canadian player unable to make up any ground. Just before the 10:55 p.m. ET break, though, YRWTHMELTHR picked up 10♦ 10♥ and moved all-in for 273,374 chips over the top of TCOOP 2017 finalist Anil Kumar “BigBlufferAY” Yadav’s 42,000-chip opener. BigBlufferAY called with J♥ J♦ , which held up on the 2♣ 5♦ 6â™  Kâ™  5♣ board to end YRWTHMELTHR’s run in ninth.

That win boosted BigBlufferAY’s stack to 990,667 chips, all of which went in the middle on the flop with A♥ Q♣ three hands later. vicenfish opened the action for 53,000 chips in the hijack seat and BigBlufferAY called from the big blind and hit top pair on the Q♦ 2♦ 3â™  flop. He check-raised to 167,867 and then called all-in when vicenfish re-raised all-in with K♦ 5♦ , which had 46.5-percent equity and a 339,143-chip buffer in case things didn’t go well. The Jâ™  changed nothing, but the 4♦ hit the river to give vicenfish a flush and the 1,998,834-chip pot, busting BigBlufferAY in eighth.

Making that flush gave vicenfish the chip lead by about 25 big blinds over past SCOOP/Sunday Warm-Up/Super Tuesday finalist TanTanSWE, who had only dropped a few blinds since coming to the table with the lead. That edge grew 20 minutes later after vicenfish opened for 53,000 chips under the gun and past Sunday Warm-Up runner-up Vitalijs “zavor” Zavorotnijs (in the small blind) and Kory “s00tedj0kers” Kilpatrick (in the big) both called. Both players in the blinds checked the J♦ K♥ 3♦ flop and vicenfish, holding K♦ Q♣ for top pair, bet less than half the pot; zavor folded, s00tedj0kers check-raised all-in for 687,477 chips on a combination straight-and-flush draw with J♦ K♥ 3♦ , and vicenfish called as a 3-to-2 favorite. Neither draw got there on the 9♥ turn or 6â™  river and s00tedj0kers, who has finished third, fifth, and seventh in previous Super Tuesdays, left this week’s tournament in seventh.

vicenfish’s winning streak was halted a little while later when Rebel FishAK, a 2015 Super Tuesday winner who finished fourth back in January of this year, won a flip with A♥ 10♦ against his 2♣ 2♦ . Two minutes later, though, vicenfish played big-stack spoiler when past SCOOP/Sunday Million/Super Tuesday/TCOOP finalist Graftekkel moved in for 154,995 chips over the top of TanTanSWE’s under-the-gun 66,000-chip opener. vicenfish re-raised and successfully isolated with 7♦ 7â™  , which flopped a set with the 7♣ to crack Graftekkel’s A♣ A♦ and knock the Dutch player out in sixth.

Two orbits of nondescript pots came and went before Rodrigo “sonmonedas” Pérez, who shared in seven-way deal at the 9th Anniversary Sunday Million final table, limped from the small blind for 30,000 chips. Rebel FishAK checked, bringing a flop of K♣ 9â™  5â™  . sonmonedas check-called 45,000 there before check-raising Rebel FishAK’s 99,000-chip bet to 210,000 on the 9♣ turn. Rebel FishAK thought it over for a moment and called, then moved all-in when checked to on the 7â™  river. sonmonedas called for 310,106 and showed 9♥ 4♥ for trip nines, but that wasn’t enough. Rebel FishAK showed 8â™  6â™  for the nine-high straight flush to take the 1.2-million-chip pot and knock out sonmonedas in fifth.

Four hands later vicenfish got back into the action in a big way. The leader opened for 87,500 chips on the button with Qâ™  9♥ and was called by TanTanSWE in the big blind. vicenfish bet 165,200 with top pair after TanTanSWE checked the 8♥ 9♦ 6♣ flop; TanTanSWE called with 2.05 million chips behind to bring the Q♥ on the turn and then checked again. Holding top two pair, this time vicenfish slightly overbet the pot for 542,500 and called TanTanSWE’s check-raise for another 1.5 million chips. That hand was a 68.2-percent favorite over TanTanSWE’s multiple draws with J♥ 7♥ , and it held up on the J♦ river to send TanTanSWE to the rail in fourth.

That turned out to be the key pot of the tournament. The blinds and antes hadn’t yet doubled from where they’d been when the final table began, and here was vicenfish with a massive chip lead over just two remaining opponents. He dominated the proceedings through the rest of the hour until the players broke at 11:55 p.m. ET for what would prove to be the final time. He had won 10 of the last 12 pots when zavor, holding Kâ™  Q♥ , opened the betting all-in for 545,554 chips from the small blind. vicenfish called with Aâ™  J♥ in the big blind, made a pair of aces on the 5♦ A♥ 8♥ 2â™  7♦ board, and ended zavor’s tournament in third.

With 199 big blinds’ worth of chips to Rebel FishAK’s 25, vicenfish was a big favorite to reel in the title. It took 10 minutes, but eventually both players found strong enough hands to commit to a showdown without a flop. Rebel FishAK shoved from the big blind with K♣ 9♥ ; vicenfish called with A♦ 5♥ and promptly made a wheel straight on the 3♣ 2â™  4♣ flop. Rebel FishAK picked up a club flush draw on the J♣ turn, but the 9â™  river ended that brief hope and brought the tournament to its conclusion.

Congratulations to vicenfish on his latest big cash, the sixth-largest of his PokerStars career. Once again he has made the incredibly difficult look very, very easy.
