Home / Uncategorized / The Turbo Championship of Online Poker starts today

Of all the ‘COOPs on PokerStars the Turbo Championship of Online Poker is the special one. Sure, the WCOOP is the most prestigious and SCOOP boats the most events. But TCOOP is different. It’s the COOP for the high speed internet generation, it’s the COOP for the Spin & Go generation, and by fluke of timing, it’s the COOP for the generation that just wants to start the year well this time dammit. For that reason it’s the COOP for everyone.

The new alignment of the PokerStars calendar (the PokerStars Championship season beginning in January rather than the EPT’s August) means you can enter TCOOP with a clean slate. The Bahamas is now behind us, and the first internet festival is upon us. It’s the chance to start the year on a high.

Interested? Here’s what’s in store.

TCOOP 2017 takes place over 12 days, starting today, with 65 events between now and Sunday 29 January, with a combined guaranteed prize pool of $15 million.

Over the course of those 12 days you’ll find five events to play each day, sometimes more, in the broad variety of games you’ve come to expect on PokerStars. What’s more the buy-ins suit all bank rolls. And if they don’t, we’re running round the clock satellites to each event to help level the playing field.

Success in TCOOP not only brings a title, the best share of some big prizepools, and immortality in a final table report available for every event on the PokerStars Blog. It also comes with the knowledge that you can spend the rest of the year knowing you’ve scored a title, that regardless of what happens for the rest of 2017 your achievement is in the bag.

So where to get started?

Well, you can find all the details you need on TCOOP 2017 homepage, which has all the information you need about the events for each day, start times, buy-ins, schedules, and how to qualify. You’ll also find details of the current Leaderboard standings as well as links to all the results.

As well as final table recaps and interview with winners, we’ll also feature a daily round up of all things TCOOP on the Blog. The first event starts in just a couple of hours from now, with the Ultra-Deep Stack hold’em event with a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool kicking things off.

All that’s left to say is good luck for TCOOP 2017, whichever generation you belong to.
