As the weekend Majors were just about the start, Team Pro Daniel Negreanu was putting the finishing touches to a remarkable second place at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
The story came via live updates from the newest member of the International Brother-(and Sister)-hood of Tournament Reporters, Mr D. Negreanu, who tweeted the action through to Kid Poker’s second place against Dan Smith, that proved worth $936,000.
As Brad Willis wrote: we know nothing. Negreanu on the other hand knew everything, which you can read about here
Meanwhile in Manila the MegaStack event there was wrapping up, won by Akinari Yokomizo of Japan, collecting a first prize of P3,210,000 (~US$62,940), the biggest of any Manila MegaStack event.
He beat Alexis Lim of the Philippines into second place, which you can read about here. You can find all the live updates from the tournament on the PokerStars Blog homepage.
