Tonight it’s the final table of the final event of the 2018 WSOP: the $1,000,000 buy-in Big One for One Drop. And there’s one player at that finale who could change poker history should he win.

Justin Bonomo: Could his incredible 2018 become even greater tonight?

Justin Bonomo has had a year for the ages. $15,000,000 in cashes, nine tournament wins against the world’s toughest players, and now he’s made the final table of the biggest buy-in poker tournament in the world – with a massive chip lead, no less.

Should he win it, Bonomo will not only bank an additional $10,000,000, but he’ll overtake PokerStars Team Pro Daniel Negreanu as the game’s all-time money winner. Negreanu currently sits atop the prestigious list with $39,656,196, while Bonomo sits in third with $32,979,591 (behind Eric Seidel). Should he cash (six players remain, five get paid, with a min-cash worth $2M), Bonomo will leap frog Seidel into second.

Negreanu could find himself #2 tomorrow

We first met Bonomo back in 2005 at an EPT, when he was a fresh faced 19-year-old pro. He’s come a long way since then, as the video below will show you.

Here’s the seat draw and chip counts for tonight’s Big One for One Drop finale:

Seat Player Country Chip Count Big Blinds
1 Rick Salomon United States 19,650,000 39
2 Byron Kaverman United States 10,525,000 21
3 David Einhorn United States 12,300,000 25

5 Justin Bonomo United States 48,950,000 98
6 Dan Smith United States 21,450,000 43

Will Justin Bonomo overtake Daniel Negreanu as poker’s all-time money winner? For now, we wait and see.
