Americas Cup of Poker: Country Rankings

Once the second stage of qualifying begins on May 30, points will be awarded in each country vs country match as follows:

  • 10 points for win
  • 5 points for draw, i.e. exactly 50:50 bounties
  • 0 points for loss

For example: Each match will have a total of 100 bounties (50 for each country). If the Argentina vs Chile match ends with 67 bounties for Argentina’s players, and 33 for Chile’s, Argentina will win and will be awarded 10 points for the group table (as shown below).

ACP Tip: Although you can knock out your own countryman (and you may have to if you want to make the top five), your first priority is taking down players from the other country! Don’t forget to rollover the players at your table to see which country they’re from. You may even want to change your avatar to symbolise which country you belong to.

If you bust out someone from your country it does count as a bounty for you, but it reduces how many players you have on your side.  When you bust out one player from your country, that reduces your country's overall chances of getting more potential bounties.

At the end of the series, the top two countries from each group will qualify for the Live Final in New Jersey.

The tables will be updated the following day after the group matches take place.

* The top two countries will be selected based on the points they have accumulated from the group matches. If there are any countries on equal points then the country with the highest total number of bounties will be ranked higher.
