UK & Ireland Poker Tour Season 2 Information
Congratulations to Benny Spindler - UKIPT Grand Final Champ!
Season 2 of the UK & Ireland Poker Tour drew to a close with a glittering finale at EPT London. The big winner was Germany’s Benny Spindler who beat 690 other players to claim the title and a massive £750,000 in prize money. The total prize pool for the event was £3,351,350, as the best players from the UK and Ireland battled the world’s top players for glory.
Building on the huge success of the first season, Season 2 visited exciting destinations like Galway,Brighton and Edinburgh, as well as the famous Dusk Till Dawn card room in Nottingham, and the tour also visited Cork in Ireland for the first time. There were two repeat winners, as Nick Abou Risk added the Season 2 Galway title to the one he won at Season 1 Edinburgh, and Joeri Zandvliet notched his second title when he took down Season 2 Dublin, adding to his Season 1 Manchester win.
With nine events in total, Season 2 of the UKIPT was a huge success, and this tour keeps on going from strength to strength. Check out the PokerStars Blog for reports and results from all the events.
