Get Started Playing Poker at PokerStars for Mac users

Playing at PokerStars couldn't be easier. To get started, first click DOWNLOAD POKERSTARS to start the installation.

Now follow the steps below to complete the installation of the software and to create your PokerStars account.

This installation should be trouble free, but if you have any difficulties please e-mail support@pokerstars.com for assistance.

Windows users should go to the Windows download page.

STEP 1 - Download the PokerStars software

First click on DOWNLOAD, and then, if prompted, click "Save File". The install software will now download to your desktop or to your Downloads folder.

STEP 2 - Install the software

Once the download is completed, the Installer should launch automatically and you will be guided through the process of installing the software.

If this does not launch automatically, see the steps below.

After installation completes, the PokerStars client will launch and you can proceed to Step 4.

If the Installer does not launch automatically after the download completes, please open the PokerStarsInstall.pkg file in your Downloads folder (or on your desktop).

After opening the file you will find a PokerStarsInstall in the same folder. Open PokerStarsInstall and you will be presented with the installation process described above.

STEP 3 - Launch the PokerStars software

If PokerStars did not launch automatically, double-click on the PokerStars icon in your Applications folder. The PokerStars software will now launch on your desktop.

STEP 4 - Create your personal account

Now create your free PokerStars account. Go to “Account” in the menu bar at the top of the screen, then drop down and select “Create Account”. Fill in the necessary fields on the registration form, and be sure to use a valid e-mail address. We will send the validation code you need to finish creating your account to that e-mail address.

STEP 5 - Validate your account

Once you have registered, we will send a validation code to the e-mail address you used in Step 4. To validate your account, go to the menu bar at the top of the screen, select “Account”, then select “Validate Email Address”. Enter the code you received by e-mail, then press “Validate”. Now you're ready to play!
