How can I make purchases at PokerStars using MasterCard?

MasterCard purchase is fully integrated via the PokerStars cashier screen. When you click on "Cashier" and then on "Buy Chips", you will see an option to use MasterCard. Click on the MasterCard button and enter the required information, including the amount you wish to deposit.

For added security, a Card Verification Number (CVN) is required.  The CVN is a 3-digit number located on the back of the card, above the signature.

When you click ‘Submit’, your request will be submitted to your bank servers via one of our processors and you will receive confirmation in about a minute. Purchase transactions are identified on your credit card statement as POKERSTARS.

In addition to USD, players can choose to deposit in CAD, GBP, EUR, SEK, NOK, DKK and AUD currencies, thus avoiding MasterCard exchange service charges of up to 3%. Local currency deposit options will only be available to players from the countries using above currencies. Deposits will be automatically converted to US$ equivalent using the current exchange rate.

Please note that if you are transacting with PokerStars in a currency other than your card currency, your card issuer will apply their own exchange rate and fee to the transaction. Customers are therefore advised to check exchange rates and fees with their issuers. For current MasterCard purchase limits, please visit the Cashier.

Can I make ‘Fast Deposit’ purchases using my MasterCard?

The ‘Fast Deposit’ feature is available for MasterCard deposits. ‘Fast Deposit’ is a quick and convenient way to fund your PokerStars account using your preferred payment method. Once setup, you will see the Fast Deposit button when playing in cash games, allowing you to review and submit transactions directly from the table.

Gift and Prepaid MasterCard

Making a deposit at PokerStars using a Gift or Prepaid MasterCard is the same as making a deposit using a regular MasterCard, as outlined above. Please note that not all Gift and Prepaid MasterCard cards will allow you to deposit successfully at PokerStars.

Before you purchase a Gift or Prepaid MasterCard, please email our Deposit Assistance Department (DAD) at dad@pokerstars.com to request information on Gift and Prepaid cards that can be used to successfully deposit.

What about my cashouts?

Recent changes have made it no longer possible to credit back to MasterCard credit cards.

How does the exchange to local currency work?

PokerStars uses Reuters exchange rates to convert deposits in local currency to USD. PokerStars does not charge a conversion fee! For additional information, please read our Real Money Transaction Processing and Currency Conversion Terms and Conditions.

What will it cost me to use MasterCard at PokerStars?

PokerStars does not charge any fees for using MasterCard. Players are responsible for any fees charged by their card issuer.

How can I make a deposit into my PokerStars non-USD playing account?

PokerStars is now offering the ability for players to play tournaments and ring games in Euros, and to hold bankrolls in multiple currencies. PokerStars will not charge any fees for depositing into or cashing out of the new currency.

Currency conversions between bankrolls are carried out using the prevailing mid-market rate provided by Reuters, and are subject to a small fee.
