Now that the US presidential election is over what do we have to look forward to in the news? There are no crazed pundits frothing over tax cuts, public spending or folders which may or may not be full of women. We have another three-and-a-half years before Ohio makes its way back into the international spotlight. Well, for starters, we suggest you take a look at the news below; ACOP wins, UKIPT Bristol final table set and big PLO cash game action is playing out. All far more interesting than analysis of how each presidential candidate angles their hand when making a point.

  • Xing Zhou won the ACOP Main Event for HKD $3,547,500 beating Ying Kit Chan heads-up after the final two players decided to get it in blind. It was an international final table with representatives of the USA, Australia, Japan and the UK also representing (WCOOP winner Tom Alner finished 8th for HKD $606,000).

  • Eight players remain in the UKIPT Bristol Main Event with £90,400 up top. Somewhat incredibly Wojtek Barzantny is chip leader having just a few days ago beaten Chris ‘moorman1’ Moorman for the UKIPT Online title and £77,126. The final table coverage begins at noon which you can follow here at the PokerStars Blog.

  • There’s some juicy PLO cash game action currently taking place between EPT Barcelona runner-up Ilari ‘Ilari FIN’ Sahamies, patpatman and 1Il|1Il|1il| at the $200-$400 cash game tables with over $1,000,000 in play. It’s a gut-wrenching clash of talent and one for the railbirds.
