PokerStars is proud to announce two new signings to its iconic PokerStars Team Pro roster: Jason Koon, one of the most successful and respected high-stakes players of all time, and Caitlin Comeskey, an award-winning content creator and poker player.
The announcement comes while both Koon and Comeskey are in Las Vegas for the North American Poker Tour (NAPT), where Koon will be taking a seat in The Big Game on Tour, PokerStars’ legendary TV cash game show currently shooting its second season.
Both Koon and Comeskey will represent PokerStars in North America and on the global stage, and these signings reflect the company’s commitment to putting ambition, aspiration and fun into the game across its live and online offerings.
“PokerStars has always been, and continues to be, about the biggest names in poker, and the best in poker entertainment,” said Steve Preiss, PokerStars Director of North America. “Jason and Caitlin bring relevance, authenticity, expertise and humour and their addition to the PokerStars team reinforces our commitment to bringing poker back to the big stage.”
JASON KOON, THE ICON
For Jason Koon, becoming a PokerStars Ambassador sees his illustrious career go full circle. “I started my poker journey playing at PokerStars and it’s always had a special place in my heart,” he said. “I’m looking forward to bringing the PokerStars experience to players here in the US and across the world.”
Koon, 39, is quite simply one of the most accomplished and respected figures in the poker world.
Born in Weston, West Virginia, Koon grew up in a small-town environment but always had big ambitions. He first played poker at college while studying Business Administration and Finance, when an injury forced him to rest from his athletic pursuits, and quickly became fascinated by the strategy and psychology involved. His disciplined approach – instilled through years of physical training – bore fruit.
Following his graduation, Koon decided to make poker his career and after years of study and grinding behind the screenname “JAKoon1985” he began to find enormous success, winning SCOOP, Super Tuesday, Sunday 500 and Sunday Warm-Up events on PokerStars as well as countless other titles. That success continued as he started to focus on live poker.
We could be here all day listing Koon’s achievements. With a frankly ridiculous 14 seven-figure scores on his Hendon Mob, plus a World Series of Poker bracelet and PokerStars Super High Roller title, his spectacular resume speaks for itself. He’s amassed $58 million in live earnings (fourth all-time) and won unknown millions both online and in the biggest cash games the world has ever seen.
Widely admired for his work ethic both in poker and fitness, and with a reputation built on skill and professionalism, Koon is a role model who inspires not only aspiring players but also his peers.
PokerStars is thrilled to have this icon on board.
CAITLIN COMESKEY, THE RISING STAR
Caitlin Comeskey has made a name for herself as a comedian, podcast host and poker player, building a strong following through her engaging content poking fun at poker culture. She also hosts the popular AceHoles podcast along with Nikki Limo, who was one of the Loose Cannons in Season 1 of the revamped Big Game on Tour.
In 2023 Comeskey won the “Rising Star in Content Creation” at the Global Poker Awards, followed by the “Best Short-Form Content Creator” award in 2024.
“I strongly believe that fun is the beating heart of our poker economy,” said Comeskey. “PokerStars is committed to producing fun, quality poker entertainment – such as the Big Game on Tour – and it’s humbling and thrilling to join the squad. I feel like I’m a part of something special and I can’t wait to share more of what we do with our community.”
We look forward to more entertaining content from Comeskey as a member of Team Pro, where she’ll continue blending humour with real poker insights, appealing to both casual fans and experienced players.
So my friends @PokerStars asked me to tell y’all about the upcoming North American Poker Tour & I said, “sounds like a great opportunity for me to be weird again. I’m in.”
