Bigger prizes. More players. More games.

For PokerStars players in New Jersey and Michigan, there’s a big day coming up.

Today PokerStars is announcing plans to combine player pools between the two states. It means online poker fans in Michigan and New Jersey can now play together at PokerStars.

The big day will be Sunday January 1, 2023.

What a way to see in the New Year. And with a big tournament to go with it.

WHAT IS SHARED LIQUIDITY?

If you’ve heard or seen the phrase “shared liquidity” in discussions about poker, then this is what it refers to.

Players in both states can expect more choice, more tournaments, more players, and bigger prizes as PokerStars becomes the first online poker site to announce “shared liquidity” in these states.

Or to put it another way, New Jersey and Michigan players are all part of one poker community.

And we’re pretty excited about it for the simple reason that it’s better for players.

On January 1, 2023, at 18:00 ET, PokerStars will have its debut Michigan and New Jersey online tournament with a buy-in of $100, and $100,000 on the line.

We’re following that up with a special $50,000 guaranteed tournament.

This will have a buy-in of only $10, starting at 18:30 ET. That should provide a lot of New Year value for players taking part.
