Marking the start of the new NFL season two special players have been invited to take seats in the Big Game on Tour, later this year. 4-time Super Bowl Champion and FanDuel representative, Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski. Plus Sports Media Personality Nick Wright.

“Gronk”, as he is more affectionately known in sporting circles, said of the news: “I’m always up for a challenge, and diving into the world of poker is going to be an amazing new adventure for me.

“I’m beyond excited to play alongside some of the best in the game and tackle the high-stakes action. Just like on the football field, I’ll be bringing my competitive edge and giving it everything I’ve got at the tables.”

Nick Wright added: “I’ve loved playing poker since my grandfather taught me, and playing in The Big Game, one of my all-time favorite poker shows, is truly a dream come true. I can’t wait to be competing with some of the best players in the world–and Gronk. This is a bucket list moment for me, and I’m beyond excited to get to Vegas and get the cards in the air!”

SPECIAL CONTESTS TO WIN

For a chance to pull up a seat against the pair, PokerStars sister brand FanDuel Daily Fantasy Sports has lined up special NFL contests.

Running for the first two weeks of the season, two winners will get their hands on a coveted NAPT Gold Pass.

These prize packages allow winners to bypass the qualification phase of the Big Game on Tour and head straight to auditions. It’s there you’ll have to chance to play against “Gronk” and Nick at the Big Game on Tour.

Remember, the Big Game features a unique cash game format. One qualifier (aka the “Loose Cannon”) is bankrolled to play in a high-stakes cash game against some of poker’s top players. Each session lasts for 150 hands. Should the Loose Cannon survive, they get to keep any profit they make in the game.

HEADING BACK TO LAS VEGAS

It all happens at the NAPT (North American Poker Tour) which heads back to Las Vegas this November 5-10. Auditions and filming for the Big Game on Tour will be held during the event.

Worth $10,000, each Gold Pass includes the $5,300 buy-in for the NAPT Las Vegas Main Event, and $1,800 in travel expenses. That’s a combined amount for you and a companion.
