Adams joins list of winners: If the Blowout Series has taught us one thing, it’s that in order to become a champion, you need to beat the best of the best. Some of the game’s top names have won titles in this new series, and the trend continued into Monday night when Timothy “Tim0thee” Adams blazed through the $5K PKO High Roller field. Adams, who has won just about everything in the game already, added a first Blowout Series title, winning $167,591, including bounties, for beating a star-studded field of 148. The final table also included Andras “probirs” Nemeth, Matthias “iambest2” Eibinger, Ramiro “ramastar88” Petrone, Ole “wizowizo” Schemion and Patrick “pads1161” Leonard, but they all fell in ninth to fifth place, respectively. It left Adams to play heads-up against Finland’s Eelis “EEE27” Pärssinen, who was a recent winner in the EPT Online series. Adams closed this one out and took the biggest prize of the night.

DingeBrinker denies Valentim and Nemeth: Estonia’s “DingeBrinker” made a mark during WCOOP last year, winning a $2,100 buy-in tournament for more than $96K. The same player was back to winning ways in the Blowout Series last night, earning $46,534 for first place in the $1,050 8-Max (Event #30-H). There was another deep run for Andras “probirs” Nemeth, which ended in a third-place finish, and then DingeBrinker beat Brazil’s Renato Almeida Prado Valentim — known as “bauruzito” online — heads-up. Valentim is a PokerStars superstar himself, having won during SCOOP and picked up a Super Tuesday title too en route to more than $4 million in documented tournament cashes. But DingeBrinker was better this time and earns a fourth title of the series for Estonia.
Big Blowout! is BIG! Registration closed at the start of Day 2 play in the second Big Blowout! event of the series, with the official tally of entries hitting 31,855, including 7,861 re-entries. That put $6.371 million in the prize pool, beating the guarantee by more than $1.3 million. By the time the bags came out at the end of play, only 23 players were left, all now guaranteed at least $10,887 but all focused on the frankly ridiculous $632,426 first prize. Romania’s “UnHuman3” is a significant chip leader, sitting with 123 million chips, going into the 500K/1m blind level. Second-placed “Olegent” has 77.4 million.
