The third day of PokerStars MicroMillions series is in full swing, and with it being St. Patrick’s day everyone is hoping they have the luck of the Irish on their side as the hunt down the green.

A total of 12,980 players joined together to chase down the green in event #19, a $5.50 NLHE 6-max event, but only 1,650 would get their share of the $64,900.00 prize pool. In the end it was kingcoles80 who collected the pot at the end of the rainbow collecting $7,613.99.

Bubble busting:

The bubble to get to the final table was a 49 hand battle that saw the chip lead switch hands numerous times and the short stacks getting the best of it most of the times. It also featured a nice bluff by _R4PEL4DOR_ against QEPBICEL. With the table playing three handed and _R4PEL4DOR_ on the button he raised it to 500,600, blinds at 125,000/250,000/31,250. The small blind folded and QEPBICEL called. The pair saw a A♥ K♠ 2♦ flop. QEPBICEL opened to 365,985 and _R4PEL4DOR_ called. The 6♥ came on the turn getting QEPBICEL to once again open, this time to 585,576. _R4PEL4DOR_ raised it to 2,000,400 and QEPBICEL called. When the 8♦ came on the river QEPBICEL checked to _R4PEL4DOR_ who moved all in for 11,719,222, enough to cover QEPBICEL. After thinking for a short time QEPBICEL folded showing the A♣ , _R4PEL4DOR_ showed 5♠ 3♥ for the missed straight while he added the 5,952,720 pot to his stack, moving into the chip lead.

First elimination finally comes:

The final table began with blinds at 200,000/400,000 with a 50,000 ante and it would take three more levels before the first elimination occurred. Over that time the players played 50 hands with six of them resulting in the short stack getting doubled up.

QEPBICEL became the first unlucky player who could not get a much needed double up when he was forced all in in the big blind. He became so short the hand before when he doubled bory57 up when bory57’s Aâ™  2â™  caught a flush on the river to best QEPBICEL’s 7♣ 7♦ . In the elimination hand kingcoles80 limped in from under-the-gun, the action folded to bory57 who also limped in and the three players saw a an 8♥ 7♦ 5♣ flop. kingcoles80 opened to 800,000 and bory57 got out of the way. The players cards were revealed with kingcoles80 holding Aâ™  6♥ and QEPBICEL holding Q♥ 4♣ . The 3♦ turn and 5♦ river brought no assistance to QEPBICEL eliminating him in sixth place collecting $811.25.

Two quick eliminations:

Unlike the first elimination the next two came at a quick pace with them coming in the next seventh and ninth hands.

The first to get eliminated was qopoqop who moved in from under the gun, bory57 moved all-in after him to isolate and the rest of the table got out of the way. qopoqop revealed K♠ 9♠ while bory57 held A♦ A♦ . The board ran out 10♠ 10♣ 6♦ Q♣ 5♠ and qopoqop exited in 5th place collecting $1,298.00.

Two hands later _R4PEL4DOR_ made his exit after moving all-in from the button with 5♦ 5♠ . He was called by kingcoles80 who held K♥ Q♣ . The 9♥ 6♥ 4♥ flop brought quite a few more outs for kingcoles80 but it was the Q♠ that delivered the dagger to _R4PEL4DOR_. The 3♣ on the river meant nothing and _R4PEL4DOR_ collected $2,494.75 for his fourth place effort.

A deal is struck:

After playing 32 hands that the players only saw one flop, which resulted in bory57 doubling up through Aggro Santos, the final three players agreed to take a look at the numbers. The admin came in and after a short discussion where kingcoles80 wanted more but was refused by Aggro Santos and then Aggro Santos asked for more and was denied by kingcoles80 the players finally agreed on the following deal:

kingcoles80: $7,113.99
Aggro Santos: $6,173.17
bory57: $6,014.54
With $500.00 left to the eventual winner

Who wants to flip:

When play resumed the players seemed content to flip for the win. Every pot was getting won with an all-in open pre flop that was not getting called. Eventually kingcoles80 and Aggro Santos tangled after Aggro Santos moved all in and kingcoles80. Aggro Santos was the short stack and his 4♥ 3♥ caught a three on the river to get the best of it against kingcoles80’s A♣ 2♣ .

The flipping continued with bory57 and Aggro Santos mixing it up next. bory57 got the double up this time when his Kâ™  7â™  caught trips on the river against Aggro Santos’s Aâ™  9♣ on the Q♦ 7♥ 3â™  A♣ 7♦ board.

The doubling up was done with though as Aggro Santos and kingcoles80 once again mixed things up. This time with kingcoles80 getting the win when his K♣ 2♥ out flopped Aggro Santo’s 5♦ 5â™  . With the board reading K♦ 9♦ 3â™  3♣ Qâ™  Aggro Santo’s was sent to collect his $6,173.17.

Heads-up:

The players continued to just move all in, even though they were both over 20 big blinds deep when heads-up play began.

Heads-up chip counts: (Blinds at 60,000/120,000 with a 15,000 ante)
Seat 1: kingcoles80 (40,220,496 in chips)
Seat 5: bory57 (24,679,504 in chips)

They went 11 hands before finally they got all the chips into the middle. Bory57 held 8♥ 8♠ while kingcoles80 held Q♣ 10♠ . The 10♥ 6♦ 4♦ flop delivered kingcoles80 a bigger pair and the lead in the hand. The 2♣ turn and 5♦ river brought no assistance to bory57 bringing an end to the match. Bory57 collects $6,014.54 while kingcoles80 takes home $7,613.99 for the win.
