Players from right across the globe once again turned out in force for the 11th edition of MicroMillions - poker’s richest low-stakes championship. The $22 Main Event saw its $1M guarantee surpassed by over $100,000, and paid out over 8,000 players including the eventual winner ‘Nolet20’ from Canada, who won $89,854 for outlasting the huge field.
Player of the series honours went to ‘malikualutsk’ from Ukraine, who cashed in almost half the 100 tournaments that made up MicroMillions and claimed free Sunday Million tickets for six months as a reward.
Of the top 10 on the tournament Leader Board, no fewer than five players were from Russia, making it no surprise that the country topped the charts as the biggest winner of the series - followed by Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom and Brazil.
