PokerStars PA, PokerStars NJ players win $2.7M in Bounty Builder Series
Bounty Builder Series on both PokerStars PA and PokerStars NJ concluded yesterday, with just over $2.7 million awarded across both tournament series.
Read on for a blow-by-blow of both series in which all tournaments were played using the progressive knockout format.
‘KennytheRipper’ wins PokerStars PA BBS Main Event, one of many multi-title winners
A whopping $2.01 million was won in the 75 events of the PokerStars PA Bounty Builder Series. The events attracted more than 35,000 entries over the 17 days of the series.
“KennytheRipper” collected the Main Event (Event #69) title yesterday for $23,713.06 including bounties, topping a 957-entry field that together built a prize pool of just over $178,000. Winning the Main Event meant two titles in two days for “KennytheRipper” who also took down a $75 8-Max Hyper-Turbo (Event #73) on Sunday.
“ActuallLY,” “AndrewYang2020,” “Dkoot74,” “hottoddy123,” “timmy72089,” and “PetCheetah101” also won two events apiece over the course of the series.
However “ChrundleThegr8” topped that with three victories (Events #5, #15, and #56).
And “AFA5671” did even better by winning four titles (Event #4, #16, #27, and #67)!
‘djjoelz’ among double-champs in PokerStars NJ BBS, including capturing Main Event
Over in the PokerStars NJ Bounty Builder Series, there were more than 9,500 entries in the 58 events, with players winning almost $700,000 altogether.
The Main Event (Event #52) saw “djjoelz” pick up a second title for the series, topping a 202-entry field to take away $16,038.31 including bounties. “djjoelz” had just won a $100 8-Max Turbo tournament (Event #40) a few days before.
There were three other multiple-title winners as well in the PokerStars NJ Bounty Builder Series.
One was “GUUUULP” who won both the $20 Mini Marathon (Event #5) and a $50 Deep Turbo (Event #25). “Stonniepokes” won two events as well, taking down both a $100 8-Max Hyper-Turbo (Event #27) and the $250 Thursday Thrill (Event #44).
We’ve seen both “GUUUULP” and “Stonniepokes” in the PokerStars NJ winners circles before. Meanwhile “CePrisingLe” kicked off the series in fine fashion by winning both a $75 6-Max (Event #4) and a $30 PLO 8-Max (Event #11).
