PokerStars has announced that it will merge Spin & Go Flash and regular-speed Spin & Go games on its global client.

This means that from Monday, June 9, Spin & Go Flash games will be removed from PokerStars, while the remaining Spin & Go games will have new structures that combine the two formats.

Moving forward, games with smaller prize pools will see players start with fewer chips and play faster levels. But when there’s more money at stake, players will begin with bigger stacks and enjoy slower levels, allowing for more strategic play and giving players more time to think through decisions.

WHY MAKE THE CHANGE?

The decision wasn’t made lightly. Both formats are massively popular and have their own dedicated player bases; some preferred the slightly slower, more strategic play of regular Spin & Go games, while others relished in the accelerated, high-octane action of Flash.

But there are very good reasons for merging the two. For starters, it will prevent players from waiting a while for other players to join after they’ve registered for a game. A single larger player pool means games will get underway a lot quicker.

It was also made because of player feedback. PokerStars has already made the change on its Italian client, and it has proved very popular. Because of this, PokerStars is confident that this merger will improve your overall Spin & Go experience.

PokerStars will closely monitor the impact of this update and make further adjustments if needed to enhance your playing experience.
