  • Sunday Million results in four-way split

  • “papan9_p$” and Dennis “DeLaBijen” Bijen take down majors

  • Pros rule the tables at the High Rollers Club

  • “pvigar” and Anatoly “NL_Profit” Filatov win big in the Winter Series

“freiwandeln” wins Sunday Million Winter Series special

This week we were treated to a special edition Sunday Million Winter Series event. It came complete with a $1 million guarantee and a PKO format that guaranteed action.

Austrian player “freiwandeln” came out on top following a four-way split. He walked away with $98,536, including bounties.

chv89” secured only slightly less cash from the deal. The Russian finished second place with $74,333 including bounties. Third place “Last port” and fourth place “darboy72” were both involved in the deal and took $68,396 and $60,247.

Diplomatic_Boy” narrowly missed out on the deal making moment. Crashing out in fifth place meant they still enjoyed a win of $28,827.

Arguably, the main threat on the final table would have come from MTT reg and previous Sunday Million winner “Flush098765”. Unable to gain traction, “Flush098765” was the first to exit, taking $8,539.

Weekend Majors – “papan9_p$” takes down second ever Warm-Up, “DeLaBijen” beats “Eibsee08” to the Storm

Outside of the High Rollers, the biggest payout from Saturday came from the Winter Series 40-M Saturday KO, which smashed its guarantee with a total prize pool of $527,800. “dodi papa” from Hungary took down the tournament for $38,642.45.

The regular majors continued to provide spectacular final tables and several guarantees of over $100k.

The $215 Sunday Warm Up received 703 entries, reaching a total prize pool of $140,600. Russia’s Viktor “papan9_p$” Ustimov walked away with first place and $24,395 in cash. This was Ustimov’s second Sunday Warm-Up win, and he continues to prove himself a serious threat at the high stakes.

Second place “cidul” is also a feared online pro whose list of poker accomplishments includes first places in the Bigger $22 and $33 Bounty Builder, second place in the Big $55 and a sixth-place finish in the Sunday Million. “cidul” earned $17,703.33 from their latest triumph in the Warm-Up.

Other big names at the final table included Powerfest champion, and WSOP final table finisher, “josef_scvejk”, who finished third; SCOOP champion “Kraskata85”; “Kashmir_uzi” all of who would give even the most seasoned pro a tough time.

As far as final tables go this was not easy pickings, so well done to “papan9_p$” for making it through perhaps the toughest tournament of the night.

Biggest Results from High Rollers Club

The High Rollers Club gave us some of the biggest prize pools of the weekend and featured the type of prolific players who hit the final tables time and time again.

Highly ranked multi-time SCOOP winner “Ssick_onE” took down the High Rollers Saturday Warm-Up for $17,326.70. Meanwhile, MTT reg “bukharkov” won yet another event, picking up $15,473.55 in the Saturday $530 Bounty Builder.

The biggest of the weekend’s High Roller wins was in the $530 Progressive KO tournament, which had its guarantee boosted to an immense $500k. The tournament reached a total prize pool of $557,500 from 1,115 entrants.

Little known Brazilian player “botteonpoker” won the event for $45,357.00, by far a career high win.

Online regular and major tournament winner “EdgarMock”, who’s past conquests include the Hot $109 and PSPC $55 Bounty Builder, had to settle for second place, though $33,246.15 was certainly good cause for celebration once the dust has settled.
