MAGIC DEFENSE (3) failed to live up to market expectations last start. She is right up to this on her day and a 5x winning wider replaces the apprentice. Has the inside gate and is worth another chance. THE ACCELATOR (5) settled well back in the Matron Samsing race but hit the line well enough. Presents fitter again and is a solid top-three chance. PRINCESS PANCAKES (4) settled well back last time but brought good improving form to that. Has a strong record at this distance and is one of the better hopes.
