Only needs a clean getaway to make the most of gate one and fourth win over 1200m is on the cards. ZARU (3) hasn't really threatened in four runs this time in work, all over longer journeys than this. Veteran sprinter with 15 top three finishes from 24 tries at six furlongs. Watch for a spike in form. DEBUSSY (7) has not won for 72 weeks but is catching the eye of late. Came from last on the bend to finish fourth most recently over 1000m at Kempsey. One to watch for in the final stages. THE FACE (1) struggled in town when resuming last start. Has a crushing weight to contend with but is the quality runner and cannot be ruled out. GOLD CARD (2) drops in grade and is a distance specialist so throw him in the exotics despite some plain recent form.
