Not a genuine Group 3 line-up so a mare like KIND WORDS (4) gets her chance at Black Type success. Stalked the pace then finished far too well for King Pedro over 2000m at Rosehill last start. Back in trip but also drops 4.5kgs - can storm home with the light weight and get the choccies. In-form mare HYPERBOLIC (6) is a danger after back-to-back victories at BM78 level, the latest over Bella Montagna in a Randwick mile. Only fourth-up today so Brad Widdup may still extract a bit more from this progressive four-year-old. BELLA MONTAGNA (7) meets Hyperbolic a kilo better for a 0.8 length defeat at headquarters. Only third-up so she can improve enough to turn the tables. MISS HADES (8) is flying at the Sydney midweekers for Gary Portelli. Big step up in grade but she looks sure to be competitive. PIPPIE BEACH (5) caught the eye when resuming at Rosehill recently and she is a gun second-up performer.
