ROLLINS (4) put it all together when scoring at his third start in the South Island on this track 10 days ago over 2000m. He raced keenly that day and was still too good. Dropping back to 1800m won't be a problem, and he can repeat the dose. KIWI MAGIC (13) had no luck from a wide gate at Wingatui nearly a month ago, and before that was contesting the G1 2000 Guineas. He is much better placed in this, and a form reversal is on the cards. DON PAULY (9) made up some late ground here over a mile 10 days ago, and he will relish the extra furlong here. A wide gate is no help, but he can still figure in the top 3. THE RED RHINO (10) has not had much luck lately and will be suited to the pole position. He might be a lightly tried 8-year-old gelding, but he has the ability to still be a force at this level. Stick with him for all top 4 combos. HIGH ROLLER (2) won his maiden here on the poly track in his penultimate start, and then was close up in sixth at Wingatui. Don't risk him.
