PIERATA'S GEM (15) has contested a couple of rich races recently and been far from disgraced. Battled on gamely to be beaten just two lengths by subsequent winner Poster Girl over 1300m at the Gold Coast a fortnight ago. Shame about the wide draw but with luck she can still get away with this. It's becoming obvious that BLUEPINOT (12) is a wet tracker. Scored a game win in soft going at Eagle Farm two back then failed in a Magic Millions race at the Gold Coast subsequently. Keep tabs on track conditions closer to post time. Track specialist FRENCH ENDEAVOUR (5) can bounce back in this easier race with the help of gate one. ARABIAN ROSE (14) made very light work of her rivals here last time, so is definitely worth following up.
