JAMACRI (8) has been strong through the line at both runs this prep, the latest when beaten just two lengths over 1400m at Mudgee. Fitter now and needs the mile. Looks ready to win. KAHRABA (9) found 1350m a bit slick when she returned from a spell at the Beaumont track last time out. Generally needs one more run to find form but this distance is in her wheelhouse so a much better run is on the cards. MARS LANDING (4) appreciated the step up in distance when a tough maiden winner over 1412m at Coffs Harbour recently. An extra furlong today can only help so he is well placed to go on with the job. HALLONIC (1) produced his best run of the campaign last start at Muswellbrook. Cherry ripe after three runs back and getting to the mile for the first time should be a positive move. FAIZA STAR (6) did a good job at Coffs Harbour last time out despite dropping back in distance. One to watch for late in the piece.
