NICK TIME (1) ended his last prep with a sound run for second on the Cambridge poly track late last season, and looked forward in condition when having a tune-up trial at Pukekohe earlier in the month. He cops a wide gate, but he is still a winning chance in an even field. LETSWISHUPONASTAR (13) just battled on debut on a heavy track at Te Rapa at the end of May. She won a trial in December, and her stable is in good form at the moment. Hard to beat, especially if the money comes for her. RISING WIND (2) has raced her way in good form, and put the writing on the wall when finishing runner-up by half-a-length at Te Aroha nearly 4 weeks ago. He cops a wide gate, but can still go one better. MERILLIAN (11) was sixth in a slightly tougher field at Ellerslie just over 3 weeks ago. Dropping back from a mile to 1400m will suit her, and she is capable of a top 3 finish in this field. ABSOLUTELYFABULOUS (9) motored home to finish third by a head here 3 weeks ago over 1200m. She can win this.
