ALADDINS JEM (3) won her maiden at Riccarton in her penultimate start, and then after freshen up, she was a game runner-up at Timaru nearly 3 weeks ago as the favourite. She cops a tricky gate, but is still improving, and she should be among the hardest to beat again. FOUROFUS (9) was an overdue and easy winner on a heavy track at Gore nearly 4 weeks ago. He has a better gate, and stepping back out to a mile won't be a problem. Stick with him. BELARDO ACE (1) has found it hard to win another race, but did win his maiden here. He was runner-up at Riverton just over a fortnight ago. He is at his best on firmer ground, and another honest effort is on the cards. OAKSDEEL (7) was beaten by a wide draw at Timaru last time out when getting back too far early on. She cops another nasty gate, but will drop 4.5kg, and can bounce straight back into the money here. Each way value. QUISIERA (16) has held her form since breaking through for an overdue maiden win here in early spring. Each way.
