Another tough race for punters. STORMLAND (9) raced wide without cover on the speed so did a fine job to hold on for second when resuming over 1000m at Randwick on Boxing Day. Nicely placed out to this slightly longer trip. Should be right there at the business end again. LULL (11) led from the outset and defied all challengers over this course and distance last time out. Meets a better field this evening but drops 3.5kgs after Nock's claim. Just needs luck from a tricky gate to be highly competitive. VANLEE (12) ran on well but couldn't catch Lull when fresh from a spell here recently. Honest mare whose biggest concern is finding cover from the wide gate. Certainly good enough if things go her way. WHO BUT ROO (4) comes to town off a win in the Moruya Town Plate last start. That carnival form generally holds up in town at this time of year so he is not out of contention. CASSIEL (3) disappointed as favourite here last time but is better than that.
