VIERI (5) sat just off the pace before finishing strongly to score a head win over this trip at this track last start. He has really come of age lately, and with Sonja Logan getting on so well with him, he is the one to beat again. CAPITOL HILL (3) needed his fresh-up run, and he tends to run well second-up. He has won his only start over a mile on this track, and can figure in the top 3 here. HELL FIRE MISS (7) was right in the mix last time, finishing second over 1300m at this track, beaten only a neck. She’s been consistent this campaign with a win and four placings from eight starts and can go one better. AWASH (2) seldom runs a bad race at this level, and though he has not won for some time, he is always worth including in all combinations. PEEL THE STICKERS (1) was narrowly beaten last start over 1600m here and is well-placed to break through for his first local win after making the move from Victoria earlier in the year.
