BAZABALL REWARDED (1) won last start over 1000m at this track, making it four victories from five appearances this time in. He was again the medium of strong betting support and has a 3kg claimer aboard today, offsetting the weight increase. Draws outside today, but has gate speed, and she can go on with the job. LUNAR MODULE (2) was expected to need her first-up outing and raced accordingly. She'd been racing in town, and won't know herself back to 62 level. She's proven second-up, and her best would have her right in it. ICHIBERU (3) was cruelled by a wide barrier here first-up and made solid inroads, beaten just 2L. She goes second-up and has plenty up her sleeve. From a better draw, she can make the finish. SMART RETURN (6) resumed in the same contest at double-figure odds and was never in the hunt. She also won second-up and is likely to position forward from an inside barrier with Meech aboard. Has a key gear switch and is in the mix.
