Verdict
JAMARNI (6) mixing his form in Provincial company and finds a weaker contest today. Closed late when a tidy first-up third at Kembla. Then raced flat when up to the 1300m for a disappointing fifth over 1300m at Hawkesbury. Finds a weak BM58 and expected to play a leading role. GREY SECRET (7) drifted well back on resumption before closing late in the small field when third over 1350m at Beaumont (Newcastle). No surprise to see her take this out. PERUNO (2) struggled this prep in stronger company and ready to show some form with the claim. Can go forward from the wide barrier and anywhere near his best can win this. Each way. SPIELE (5) went back early from her wide draw and produced good closing splits when fifth over 1400m at the Sapphire Coast. Stays in the calculations. COSSACK WARRIOR (1) best run of the prep when he attacked the line for a narrow second over 1400m at Canberra. Will go back early and be ridden for luck.

Previously second-up 5th of 12 at Goulburn Bm58 on May 30 over 1600m, on a slow track; 2 len behind Bombelleistic carrying 59kg at $6. Solid return and has further improvement in store. - 1.
