STORMBOURG (10) doesn’t win often but was right in the mix when resuming from a spell, beaten by just a head into second over 1200m at Sandown-Lakeside 18 days ago. He is a backmarker who always finishes strongly, and with an extra 100m here, he can have the last say. LES BRAVES (15) has been in the money in his last couple of runs, and has started favourite in all 4 starts this prep, most recently finishing second at Cranbourne just over a fortnight ago. Stick with him, and follow your money. LARIO (8) resumes after five months off, and he will be a lot stronger this season. He was a minor placegetter when fresh last prep over 1400m at Echuca, and with 3 jumpouts under his belt, he is set to give this a big shake. ASAWIN (4) returned from a break with a tough win by a neck over 1350m at Donald nearly 4 weeks ago. He won't find this much harder, and he is a big each-way chance again.
