MA TE WA (11) is a very progressive gelding who is headed for the top grade. He was a nose away from making a winning return to the track here nearly 3 weeks ago, and would have taken plenty of benefit from that run. He steps up to a mile, and a wet track is no problem. On top for us. OMEGA BOY (10) capped off some improving form with a gutsy win over the top pick last time out. He drops 6.5kg for this, and he is good enough to repeat the dose. DOCTOR ASKAR (4) fought hard and peaked late on his effort when finishing fifth in the Challenge Stakes here a fortnight ago. He is at a dangerous place in the weight for a horse of his calibre, and he is now ready to show his best form. Can win. CANNON HILL (3) tried hard, and though he finished out of the money, he was not far away in the G3 J Swap sprint at Te Rapa 3 weeks ago. The side winkers go on, and from a good draw, he can bounce straight back into the money here. THOOZA (12) faces her toughest test to date, but can measure up.
