Spin-Off event offers final chance to qualify for Paris Championship – book your seat
If you thought your chances of qualifying for the upcoming Spin & Go Championship Live in Paris were finished, think again.
PokerStars has announced one final opportunity for its players to book a seat in the epic event, and it starts right now from the comfort of your home. Or on your commute. Or in a cafe. Basically, wherever you like to play on PokerStars.
In Paris, the day before the Championship takes place, a special “mini” version will be held, serving as the last-chance satellite and awarding nine seats to the main event.
It’s called the Spin-Off, and it has the same mechanics as the big one:
- Three-handed play
- Multiple rounds of action
- Exclusive to online qualifiers
- 81 players only
- Similar Spin prizes and prize table
That means the nine Spin-Off qualifiers who advance to the big one get to play the same poker tournament format twice!
But it’s also a tournament in its own right, with cash prizes going to those who advance to Round 2 but don’t finish in the top nine (i.e. places 10 to 27). Plus, there will be spins for cash prizes throughout the event (one spin per table, per round).
You can only play the Spin-Off qualifier if you’ve qualified online. But how can you become one of the 81 Spin-Off players who will battle for one of nine Championship seats in Paris?
HOW TO BOOK A SEAT IN THE SPIN-OFF QUALIFIER
From January 5 – 25, all you have to do is play Spin & Go’s on PokerStars. Each one offers a randomised amount of points, which will add to your total on both daily and overall leader boards. You don’t need to win the Spin to earn points!
As you play, you’ll move up levels — and your ‘game over’ increases the higher the level. Players have three attempts per day, per daily leader board, meaning that once you hit ‘game over’, you have the option to try again.
It’s well worth trying (even if you’re not fussed about the Spin-Off) as the daily leader boards award $10,000 in cash!
The top 1,000 players with the best overall score throughout the promotion period will have the chance to win a package via a freeroll tournament on January 26 at 14:30 ET. There will be nine packages awarded.
Think of it as a stepping stone to the final stepping stone.

SPIN-OFF IN PARIS
Each Spin-Off Package is worth €2,770 and includes:
- €500 expenses
- 4 nights in a hotel
- €70 travel transfers

The Spin-Off live qualifier takes place in Paris on February 22 – the day before the Spin & Go Championship Live begins (Feb 23-24)
The field will be made up of 81 online qualifiers and the top nine finishers will get to play the Spin & Go Championship Live.
