Verdict

The well-related MORTAL HALO (2) (full to G1 winner Port Lockroy) has come back in fine fashion with a dominant Scone victory first-up before narrowing going down at Rosehill last time out. Gets the services of Maloney in the irons to navigate from the sticky draw and should be right there with any luck in running. JOHN DORY (1) saluted over this distance range at Canterbury at the latest effort and looks to have plenty of upside. Further improvement in store and has to be considered carefully. KRUMAC (14) has placed over this course and distance and gets in on the minimum weight. Top-three aspirations. POWER REECE (5) has put back-to-back wins together and Thompson sticks in the saddle. Should give backers a sight. SHORTCUT (9) next best from the inside marble.
