Progressed nicely when last in work and he should be in for his best campaign yet. STAR WHISPERER (11) was in the market but after leading for home tired badly to finish seventh on debut over 1200m at Mudgee last start. Given a 38-day freshen up and coming back in trip is to his advantage. Sure to be prominent for a long way. DEVILISH SUN (7) worked home well when the race was all over on debut recently over this distance at Taree. Draws a better gate today so with some natural improvement he comes right into calculations. SCATPAK (12) did some good work late after missing the kick first-up at Tamworth. Can be tardy out of the gates but is one to watch for late in the piece. STRAIGHT SOUTH (5) returned in good order at Wellington last time. This is tougher but he is worth throwing in the exotics.
