LA CHAPARRON (12) put the writing on the wall last time out when she drove hard late only to be beaten 0.6 lengths over the mile at Orange. Still a maiden but at the fourth run back from a break is in a great place to land her first prize at decent odds. SABATINA (7) has strung together five minor placings since winning her maiden at Narromine in September. Finished just ahead of La Chaparron at Orange last time in a hectic drive to the line. Must be a chance again. YORKEL (5) wasn't far away in that same Class 1 at Orange recently and should be cherry ripe after three runs back. TAKE THE CHANCE (8) is another who comes through that Orange race with strong credentials here. Races well here and is rock hard fit after four runs back. ELITE POWER (1) turned in a real eye-catcher over 1400m at Orange last Tuesday. Hard to hold out over an extra furlong on a quick back-up.
