AYTEEM (3) has been mixing his form this prep, and it is a touch surprising that he has not won another race. His only win did come here on his home track, and he is more than good enough to take this out. JAEGER (5) made up a lot of solid late ground when finishing third over a mile at Whanganui a fortnight ago. The extra 400m for his peak run is ideal, and despite a wide gate, he should be right in the finish again. CLEW BAY (10) finished third, less than a length from the winner at Arawa Park. Include. FRENCH THUNDER (9) capped off some good form with a well-deserved win here on New Year's Eve. She is nicely placed for the next step with the aid of a 3kg claim, and she could repeat the dose. COTTON ROCA (7) cops a wide gate, which might not be an issue on a wet track, and her last start for second was a tough effort. Go again.
