HANDSTAND (1) fought on gamely to finish second in a 4-horse field on debut at Tauherenikau, and he would have naturally improved since then. There is more depth here, but he is still a top 3 chance. IN THE VINEYARD (4) was doing his best work late on a heavy track when finishing third in the same race as the top pick when making her debut. She benefits from a 3kg claim, only if Sam McNab can make that weight, and she can go one better. KING OF THE AIR (2) makes his debut from the powerful Stephen Marsh stable, and has the inform Jonathan Riddell in the irons from the pole position. Follow the market moves closely. PINAFORE (5) was third on debut, and should relish the extra furlong here. She won't be a maiden for much longer. UNINVITED (8) can't be totally ruled out in a small field.
