LUNA ASCENDING (4) somewhat surprised as a 60-1 chance first-up but showed that performance was no fluke last start at Pinjarra with a 0.5L defeat at 20-1. Likely to get back from the draw again today which is the issue, but she's an improving type and CJP sticks. Can fly over the top of them. QUEEN SELYSE (10) sat handy but couldn't get the job done last start at Pinjarra where she looked to have every chance. Nottle remains in the saddle, keeping her down in the weights. Back to 1200m is some query, but if she can run up to what she did last start she'll be hard to hold out. ANGEL LIKE YOU (8) never fired at a big price on debut but her trials this time in have been solid. Wide draw to contend with, but she can be coming home with a wet sail. JEWEL OF ZAVALA (11) bumped into a couple of good ones during her 2YO campaign and has to be included despite the 302-day layoff. DREAMS OF DIAMONDS (12) can run a cheeky race on debut.
